From KLM classic to cult object

Our latest Aviationtag was made from the outer skin of a Boeing 747-400M (MSN 28460), which was in service with KLM for 21 years. This aircraft tag comes from PH-BFV "City of Vancouver", which was delivered to KLM in 1999. After being retired in 2020, the jumbo was given a second life as a VQ-BWM at JetOneX (oerated by Longtail Aviation), transporting cargo around the globe. In 2024, the aircraft was finally scrapped at Stansted – but not before we could secure its iconic outer skin to make this limited edition.

Each day shows the original KLM blue tone with authentic signs of use from real flight operations. What makes this edition special: In addition to the typical light blue, we were also able to save sections in dark blue and white – in some cases even with the original foil stickers that were applied during the operation at JetOneX. This creates a unique variety of colours and surfaces – every day is truly unique.
